I am a servant of Allah who is sinful and in need of some advice from ustaz.
Answer:
Alhamdulillah, praise and thanks to Allah for the countless blessings He has blessed us all with. Blessings and salutations to the Prophet Muhammad PBUH, his wives, his family, companions and all those that follow his teachings to the day of judgement.
First, I would like to thank you for sending this message. Indeed, this religion is built on the basis of advice. I would like to suggest several matters for you:
- Perform five daily prayers early at the beginning of each time of prayer.
- Add some Sunnah prayers.
- Go to the mosque diligently, especially to attend sermons and classes
- Recite al-Quran every day even if it is just one verse.
- Increase zikrullah (remembrance of Allah).
- Make istighfar a habit.
- Try to wake up for tahajjud during the night even if it is just two rakaats
- Join silaturrahim
- Respect and love your parents
- Be loving towards your children and family.
- Help those who are in need even if it is a little
- Donate to the mosque even if it is just ten cents
- Speak kindly and politely even when you are emotional
- Accept and be content with the will of Allah
- Be grateful to Him.
May this simple advice give us strength for us to strive to get closer to Allah and be among the pious people. Ameen.
